You’ve watched the film, heard the album and gone to the screenings in the Sugar Club, the Lighthouse and Electric Picnic. Now Playback bring you a live re-enactment of Talking Head’s Stop Making Sense.

Floor lamp? Check. Big suit? Check. A tape they’d like to play? Check. Come and watch as the band blast through all sixteen of the songs from the film, including classics like “Psycho Killer”, “Once in a Lifetime”, “Burning Down the House” and “This Must Be the Place”. Playback is an “album tribute band” made up of some of Dublin’s finest singers and musicians. They have expanded to an eight-piece for this show in order to do justice to the movie’s backing vocals, synth solos and conga workouts.

Phizzfest is a Community & Arts Festival taking place from 13th to 15th May in the village of Phibsborough, Dublin. Over 20 venues will host events over 3 days including music, theatre, art, poetry, workshops, tours and talks and some family friendly antics on the Royal Canal!
